About The Role
Right now, we are looking for a Master's student in HR, Organization, Business, or a related field to join our Operations team as a Student Assistant (50-60%). This role is perfect for someone who enjoys structure, making things run smoothly, supporting people and processes, and gaining valuable hands-on experience while studying.
As a part of our internal Operations team, you'll contribute to keeping our office, people, and business operations running efficiently. You'll be helping us optimize and execute systems that impact everything from invoicing to data management and client satisfaction. Although you'll start by executing and supporting our core operational functions, as Amby grows, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater ownership of processes and systems.
This is a part-time role based in our Oslo office. We expect you to be available for work 2.5–3 days a week, but we’re flexible on working hours and remote work when needed. You’ll work closely with our Head of People and VP of Operations, gaining first-hand experience of how a growing company operates from the inside.
What You Will Do
1. Office Management
- Ensure our office is a welcoming and well-organized environment
- Order food, supplies, and equipment as needed
- Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers
2. People Operations
- Maintain and update employee records in relevant HR systems
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes
- Help keep our employee handbook and other internal documentation up to date
3. Business Operations
- Manage and help improve our internal tools and systems
- Ensure systems are up-to-date, user-friendly, and fit for purpose
- Monitor and review data across systems for accuracy and consistency
4. AI and Process Innovation
- Explore new ways of working to optimize internal processes
- Build and test AI tools for internal use and to automate workflows
- Support consultants with new AI implementations and ways of working
In addition to this, you'll also act as an internal resource for our consultants, helping them succeed in their projects and ensuring that they have what they need to deliver on client expectations.
What We Are Looking For
Amby'ans are inclusive, supportive, and energetic. We are never afraid of a challenge and constantly look for areas of improvement - especially when it comes to our client delivery. If you're someone who thrives on learning and self-improvement, always aims to make a meaningful impact, and commits to delivering top-notch quality, all while valuing genuine and personal connections with others, you’ll fit right in. We’re also looking for you who:
- Are currently studying for a Master's degree in HR, Organization, Business, or a related field.
- Are fluent in English and Norwegian and able to build strong relationships with different people through effective verbal and written communication.
- Have a keen interest in the world of recruitment and AI
- Are driven by curiosity and a desire to continuously expand own knowledge base by proactively researching and acquiring new information.
- Have a knack for creative problem-solving and the ability to stay analytical, solution-oriented, and persistent when faced with delays, bottlenecks, or other difficulties.
- Have the ability to be flexible when needed and a strong motivation to put in the required time and effort to complete a task or project on time, following best practices to achieve high quality.
